Turbulent waters of chronic illness, corporate greed, and systemic inefficiencies are all around us. Yet somewhere on that horizon is a better future. The question is: where’s the captain that will take us there?

RFK Jr. isn’t just yelling about leaks in the hull—he’s shouting for us to grab life vests and chart a new course entirely. But is his vision of a reconstructed system even possible?

Let’s dive in.

Thanks for reading The Uncommon Cures! Billions more went toward lobbying to keep regulators on a tight leash. Meanwhile, 42% of Americans are obese, and 60% have at least one chronic disease. This isn’t an accident. It’s a system built on mitigating the symptoms of sickness, not preventing or treating the root cause of those symptoms.

The Death of Prevention
Over half of all healthcare costs go to treating conditions that could have been prevented. Lifestyle-related diseases—heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, obesity—are manageable and often reversible. Yet prevention rarely takes center stage. You won’t see a billion-dollar Super Bowl ad for taking a walk after dinner, or swapping in water for soda.

The Trust Crisis
After COVID, trust in the medical system has plummeted. As we discussed last time, only 40% of Americans trust doctors and hospitals today. This is catastrophic, because trust is the cornerstone of effective healthcare.

Enter RFK Jr.

RFK’s Audacious Blueprint

RFK doesn’t just preach broccoli over beta-blockers; he’s asking us to rebuild our entire paradigm of health. It’s radical, but it’s also refreshingly simple. He’s building something new:

Decentralization and Empowerment
At the heart of his vision is putting healthcare decisions back where they belong—with you. No more monolithic mandates. Instead, RFK envisions a world where individuals are informed, empowered, and free to choose what works for them.

A Return to the Basics
RFK’s healthcare revolution starts with what’s been under our noses all along: proper nutrition, movement, clean water, and quality sleep. These aren’t buzzwords. They’re foundational.

Accountability for the Corrupt
RFK has no patience for the revolving door between regulatory agencies and the industries they’re supposed to police. His crusade for accountability is long overdue, and it’s making the right people nervous.

Where RFK Walks the Tightrope

No vision is flawless. RFK’s critics call him a radical, and he sometimes earns that label. But isn’t that what change-makers do?

Sure, his rhetoric can be polarizing, and some claims lack the polish they need to resonate with everyone. But disruption rarely comes neatly packaged. It’s messy, controversial, and necessary.

What matters is not whether RFK is always right. It’s that he’s forcing us to confront a question we’ve been too afraid to ask:

“What if everything about the way we approach healthcare is broken?”

The Ripple Effect of Revolution

Imagine this for a moment:

A healthcare system that incentivizes prevention over treatment. Where “prescription” means food, exercise, and sunlight—not another pill.

Doctors as partners, not gatekeepers to corporate interests. Regulators that answer to the people, not lobbyists or the whims of the elite.

A society where being healthy isn’t a luxury.

This isn’t utopia. It’s possible. But it will require all of us to demand it.

Your Role in the Revolution

Here’s where you come in.

Regardless of who has political power, one thing is for certain: in today’s broken system, the most truly revolutionary act is to live well. How can you take a stand in our healthcare climate? Here are three takeaways:

Ask Questions
Don’t take RFK’s word—or mine—for gospel. Dig deeper. Question the system, and seek a physician who isn’t afraid to do the same.

Take Responsibility
Start with the basics: Eat better. Move more. Sleep deeper. These small changes are acts of rebellion against a system that profits from your sickness.

Join the Conversation
Whether you’re cheering RFK on or rolling your eyes, your voice matters. Be vocal. Talk to your friends and family. Share this blog, and others, to help educate your loved ones on how to discover true health and wellness.

Thanks for reading The Uncommon Cures! Imagine the healthcare system as a colossal, creaking ship. It’s towering, unstoppable, and yet hopelessly dysfunctional. The hull is riddled with leaks, chronic diseases are pooling in the lower decks, and up in the captain’s chair, pharmaceutical profits are charting the course. The rest of us? We’re just trying to keep from drowning in a sea of co-pays and side effects.

Enter Robert F. Kennedy Jr. He’s not up on the bridge, polished and proper, steering the ship toward calmer seas. No, he’s the guy climbing up from the engine room, wrench in hand, shouting, “This ship’s taking on water, and if we don’t fix it, we’re all going under!”

Thanks for reading The Uncommon Cures! Some chapters had me nodding like a sage—“Yes, yes, this makes sense.” Others? Maybe less so.

And that’s the thing about RFK Jr. He’s a disruptor. And disruptors? They make people uncomfortable. But discomfort can be a good thing—like doing your first plank. Or eating kale for the first time.

What I admire most is that RFK isn’t setting out to capsize the ship. He’s the guy with a blueprint, trying to rebuild the system from its leaky foundation. He’s not anti-medicine; he’s anti-bad medicine. He’s the guy asking why we’re pouring billions into pharmaceutical ads when the real solutions—nutrition, movement, sleep—are right under our noses.

What RFK Jr. Gets Right (And Where He Stumbles)

Let’s talk about what RFK Jr. brings to the national health conversation that has been sorely lacking:

Transparency: RFK’s relentless push for honesty in medicine is a breath of fresh air in a smog-filled system.

Prevention: He’s absolutely right about the power of prevention over cure. Chronic diseases often don’t need miracle drugs; they need basic lifestyle changes.

But he’s not perfect. Some of his claims feel like they could use a bit more polish—or at least a footnote or two. That’s not a deal-breaker, but it’s a reminder that no one—not RFK, not me, not your favorite podcast host—has all the answers.

Critical thinking isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity. Blindly trusting RFK, or the system he’s critiquing for that matter, won’t cut it.

Your Health, Your Ship

Here’s the plain truth: The future of your health doesn’t depend on RFK, your doctor, or some flashy new drug commercial. It depends on you. The choices you make, the questions you ask, and the steps you take to educate yourself.

So, what do you think?

Is RFK Jr. the hero trying to patch the leaks in the system, or is he rocking the boat a little too hard?

I want to hear from you in the comments of this post:

“I love RFK.”

“I hate RFK.”

Here’s the catch: This isn’t really about RFK. It’s about us. It’s about getting uncomfortable, asking the hard questions, and finally taking back control of our health.

Because if we don’t fix this ship? We’ll all go down with it.

Blessings,
The Medical Maverick

Thanks for reading The Uncommon Cures! In Room 314, John Miller lay in a bed, staring up at the ceiling. The 58-year-old truck driver had been admitted a week ago for what seemed like a routine surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff. He had expected to be home by now, recovering with his wife and watching his favorite football team on TV.

But things had taken a turn for the worse. Shortly after the surgery, John developed a fever and noticed that his surgical wound was red, swollen, and increasingly painful. The doctors initially dismissed it as a normal post-operative reaction, but when the fever spiked and the pain became unbearable, they ran tests and delivered the news that John was now fighting an infection.

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, or MRSA, they called it—an infection that had infiltrated his body during his stay at the hospital, the place where he had come seeking care. John didn’t understand all the medical jargon the doctors used, but he knew one thing: this wasn’t supposed to happen.

Thanks for reading The Uncommon Cures! "I came here to get better, not worse."

His wife, Karen, sat beside him, her hands clasped tightly around his. She tried to stay strong for him, but the worry was etched deeply into her face. "We’re going to get through this, John. They’re going to fix it."

The doctors had immediately started him on the strongest antibiotics available, but MRSA was notoriously stubborn. The infection had taken hold in the surgical site and was rapidly spreading into his bloodstream. Each day, the fever raged on, and John grew weaker. The man who had once been a pillar of strength, who had spent his life hauling heavy loads across the country, now lay helpless, his body betraying him.

As the days passed, the infection continued to spread despite the doctors’ best efforts. The antibiotics weren’t working as they should have been. John’s condition worsened; the infection was causing sepsis, and his organs began to shut down. The medical team worked tirelessly, adjusting medications, running tests, consulting specialists, but the infection was relentless.

Karen never left his side, holding his hand, talking to him, trying to keep his spirits up even as hers crumbled. "You’re going to pull through this, John. You’re the strongest man I know."

But John could feel his strength slipping away. He was tired—tired of the pain, tired of the fever, tired of the endless poking and prodding. One night, as the machines around him beeped and the fluorescent lights cast a pale glow over the room, he looked at Karen, his eyes filled with a sadness she had never seen before.

The hospital room was quiet, save for the steady beep of the heart monitor and the soft hum of the fluorescent lights overhead. Joan Patterson, a 68-year-old retired schoolteacher, lay motionless on the bed, her frail body dwarfed by the sterile sheets tucked around her. Her breath came in shallow, labored gasps, and her once vibrant blue eyes were now dull, clouded with pain and fatigue.

It wasn’t just in his body—it was in the very place where he was supposed to be safe. The hospital, with all its sterilized surfaces and vigilant staff, had inadvertently become the battleground for a war they were struggling to win.

By the end of the second week, the doctors delivered the news Karen had been dreading. John’s condition was critical. The MRSA had overwhelmed his system, and there was little more they could do. They offered comfort care, something to ease his pain in his final hours.

Karen held John’s hand as he drifted in and out of consciousness, her voice a steady presence in his ear. She talked about their life together, the trips they had taken, the grandchildren they had watched grow. She reminded him of the little things—how he loved the smell of fresh-cut grass, the taste of a cold beer on a summer evening, the sound of rain on the roof.

"I love you, John," she whispered, her voice choked with emotion. "I’ll love you forever."

John managed a weak smile, squeezing her hand one last time before his eyes closed for the final time. The machines around him fell silent as the flat line on the monitor signaled that the battle was over.

This fictitious story is actually happening. Repeatedly. In every hospital in America.

MRSA

Methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus. It kills over 100,000 people worldwide each year. (Somewhere around 20,000 in the US alone.)

So-called ‘superbugs’ are bacteria that have been treated with antibiotics and, over the years, have have become resistant to them by morphing. Imagine that you kill off 98% of the bacteria with an expensive antibiotic. What happens to the 2% of the bacteria that remain? They become resistant. Go through another round of antibiotics, and again most die. But the 2% get even more resilient.

There is a whole list of super bugs that have a catchy acronym... ESKAPE. Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterobacter spp.

ESKAPE superbugs escape the effects of antibiotics. They are known to survive in the modern health care setting. Their adaptations make them a real problem in hospitals.

What if there was something that took care of superbugs and virus infections without antibiotics. Wouldn’t the medical world jump up and down with excitement? The answer is NO… because that cure already exists.

Is it a drug? No.

Does it have a repeat value by curing some of the disease but allowing for repeat applications and increased profits? No.

Is it expensive so that it will bring in millions into Pharma or hospital coffers? NO

What is this cure? UBI – Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation (known to some as UVBI.) If you are familiar with alternative medical physicians, then you are in luck. These are the brave men and women who are willing to get off the hamster wheel of modern medicine and find root causes of what ails us.

The procedure is simple and only uses about 60cc of blood. It causes the body’s immune system to be supercharged and take on those “bugs” that antibiotics left. (It has the added benefits of almost no side-effects.)

In the US there are about 1,000 physicians who use this therapy. If you want to find one, you can click here.

There is one catch to taking care of superbugs. You should act BEFORE you are hospitalized for a serious infection.

If you are in the hospital, they will not allow this therapy to occur, as it is not FDA approved at this time. If you have an infection, it is recommended to get a UBI treatment before going to a hospital. The other unfortunate thing to consider is that the ESKAPE super bacteria are often hospital-acquired. If we can trust the reporting system of the CDC, there are about 3% - 7% of all hospital patients that acquire this type of infection.

So what is an answer?

While you’re healthy and not suffering from an active infection (or any number of issues that require a physician) find a practitioner who performs UBI.

Set up an appointment and get registered with their office.

Be ready to pay for an initial consultation as out-of-pocket pay. Or is it an oft-repeated deception that covers the truth?

Let’s look at the latest vaccine first. The COVID VACCINE (not COVID itself) has been calculated to cause 17 million deaths in the world. The initial difficulty of calculating COVID deaths was that hospitals and physician were paid to list COVID as cause of death even though they died from some other problem. I read of one that was a homicide and suicide both shot in the head and listed as a COVID death. That is an extreme but it happened. The hospital and the coroner also each got COVID pay.

Thanks for reading The Uncommon Cures! This is accurately reported by each state and country. When you examine these numbers, you realize that the COVID numbers were extremely elevated and that looking at overall mortality trends can give you a much clearer picture.

The Pharma companies all claimed that they did safety trials on the COVID Vaccines, but they were a sham. FDA, our government, and Big Tech all wanted a vaccine. They squashed all dissent and canceled physicians who said that Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine worked, without putting people in the hospital. As I mentioned in my posts on COVID, if there was any intervention that worked, then Emergency Powers could not be used to push for a vaccine.

But when we look at the ACM numbers, what do we find? A rise in death AFTER the vaccines were introduced. (This information comes out of 167 page report that you can download here.) In the conclusion this was stated:

“The vaccination campaign did not measurably cause any deaths to be averted. This is contrary to the notion that the vaccines are “effective” in reducing “serious illness” (and presumably death), becoming operative 7-14 days following the time of injection, with the protection presumably lasting at least several months.”

…The government regulatory actions (including vaccines) “were in-effect a large-scale deadly assault against vulnerable groups, which killed approximately 1.27M members of the said groups.” USA ACM Vaccine Deaths

Let’s take a look at the safety of childhood vaccines.

“First Do No Harm” is the most well-known portion of the Hippocratic oath, written in 245 AD. A more accurate way to translate it would be “I will abstain from all intentional wrong-doing and harm.”

We want to believe that all medical personnel and researchers would adhere to this dictum. In the case of our governmental agencies and big Pharma, however, there is serious evidence that this is not the case. Perhaps “First make money, grab power and cover up any injuries” may be more appropriate.

Here is a joke: The lawyer said to the doctor. “You have an ideal job.” “Why is that?” was the query from the physician. “If we make a mistake, we get sued. In your business, you bury your mistakes.”

It’s a joke, but not such a funny one. Especially as we have seen massive cover-ups, from hospitals all the way to the FDA and CDC. Robert F Kennedy Jr. did a brilliant work in the book entitled “The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health” with over 1,200 references. It is a 500-page book with serious, infuriating implications.

He documents how the COVID vaccine was NOT safe. Another revealing book is one that I mentioned in earlier writings, “Turtles All the Way Down: Vaccine Science and Myth.” (This one is well worth the expense and effort as it may affect your children’s (or grandchildren’s) health for a lifetime.)

What goes into FDA vaccine approval?

First Pharma does a number of trials and tests that have been shown to allow for deception. Once it goes into an FDA trial there are supposed to be controls that compare people getting the drug compared to getting a placebo (like saline solution.)

Randomized Controlled Trials are the gold standard to determine safety and efficacy. This should also be blinded.

Randomized – subject divided into two groups – trial group and control group. One is given a placebo or dummy compound and one the drug.

Blinded – double blinded means that the administrators and the patients do no know which they are receiving.

When studies show that the vaccines are safe, and are tested for some efficacy, they can be distributed.

What could go wrong?

Greed, power, control, deception, historical precedent, threat of job loss, compliance, pay-offs – to name a few.

Consider this: 50% of the FDA’s funding comes from Big Pharma... often along with patent shares. Can you imagine the EPA getting 50% of their funding from the oil, gas and coal industry and then making regulations for that industry? No one would stand for it.

The previously mentioned “Turtles All The Way Down” outlines 5 actual ways that FDA allowed childhood vaccines to avoid clean RTC, but modify them to make sure that a particular vaccine would be approved and put on the recommended list. (In 1955 there were 5 approved vaccines. Today there are 80 recommended by age 18.)

Use another vaccine, not a placebo, as a control. One of the ways to do an “end run” around the system is to test the vaccine against its predecessor or a different vaccine. Prevenar-13 for Pneumonia – It was tested against a control group receiving Prevenar (older generation vaccine) and the original Prevenar was tested after the control group had received an experimental meningococcal vaccine. Higher adverse events are therefore equal to the control.

Use an approval that came from the past. Since it was developed in the 1930’s DPT (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis) was never tested in an RCT against a control group.

Vaccinate with multiple vaccines at the same time. Flu type B participants got other combinations of vaccinations, therefore not making it a clean trial.

Do the trial on adults and not infants. Hep A – Recombivax HB had no infant trials but is given to infants.

Give the participants of the control an antigen compound to test against. Rotavirus Rotarix was given to the trial group, but the control group did not receive a placebo (saline injection) but a vaccine-sans-antigen compound.

All of the above methods do not compare the adverse effects against a clean control. The tests are manipulated to get a “pat on the back” from FDA as Pharma and the FDA share profits.

In summary, although manufacturers and health authorities worldwide assure us that vaccines are tested at the highest possible level and that ongoing tests continue to occur. It just is not true.

Vaccine trials are designed in such a way as to hide adverse events. The COVID vaccine blew the lid off of adverse events as they were so numerous. Do you know of someone who was harmed, got sick or died shortly after the vaccine or a booster? I have talked to many who still suffer from difficulty breathing, low energy, blood clots, even turbo-cancers like we have never seen have surfaced from nowhere with no explanation.

Another quote from “Turtles All The Way Down:”

“There is not a single vaccine in the US routine childhood vaccination program whose true rate of adverse events is known.”

I doubt that your pediatrician would ever answer their probing questions, but here is one from the Ask Your Doctor section: “Is the vaccine that you are recommending tested in a pre-licensure clinical trial with a (real) placebo control group? If not, how do you calculate its true rate of adverse events?”

Want more? Yet ‘wear sunscreen’ has become one of the most pervasive health mantras out there when it comes to skin health. How did the sun go from being one of our greatest benefits to a so-called "death spreader"?

Some experts have argued that we’ve been lied to. We’ve been tricked into thinking the sun is bad, so we lather our skin with sunscreen, filled with harmful chemicals.

“Our entire biology has been programmed to respond to the environmental cues of sunlight. Not getting proper sunlight is unhealthy,” says Dr. Sorenson in his book Embrace the Sun. (This is an excellent resource. While it is currently out of print, it is available online as a PDF.)

Thanks for reading The Uncommon Cures! Let’s first look at some facts, taken from the aforementioned book by Dr. Sorenson:

Sun exposure in the U.S. has decreased by 90% over the last 70-100 years, while the risk of melanoma has increased by at least 3,000%. How can anyone believe that sun exposure causes melanoma with such statistics?

Women who completely avoid the sun have a 1,000% increased risk of breast cancer compared to those regularly exposed to the sun. Additionally, sun avoiders experience a 20% increase in all-cause mortality over a 20-year period.

Outdoor workers receive 3-10 times the annual sunlight exposure as indoor workers, yet they have lower incidences of melanoma. Sunlight and tanning actually reduce the risk of melanoma.

Multiple sclerosis is most prevalent in the northern part of the Northern Hemisphere but nearly disappears in sunny equatorial regions.

For every 1 death related to excessive sun exposure, there are 324 deaths associated with diseases linked to insufficient sun exposure.

Cashing in on Fear

It helps to understand that not all skin cancers are the same. The word “cancer” strikes fear into people, and advertisers and manufacturers have capitalized on that fear. They’ve turned all skin lesions into scary “cancers,” overstated their frequency, and pushed consumers toward sunscreens.

This created a lucrative market, including a new, prestigious division of medicine: dermatology. Once primarily associated with treating acne and psoriasis, dermatologists are now seen as serious cancer specialists.

(For a much more detailed presentation on this phenomenon, I highly recommend this post from A Midwestern Doctor.)

Let’s explore the different types of skin cancer:

Melanoma: Often considered the "dreaded" skin cancer, melanoma causes about 8,000 U.S. deaths per year. However, it has the lowest cancer death rate—about about 2 deaths per 100,000 and comprises only 1% of skin cancers. Most melanomas occur on areas that rarely see the sun.

Basal Cell Carcinoma: This is by far the most common skin cancer, comprising 80% of all skin cancers. It is not deadly and grows very slowly. However, if left untreated, it can grow large and cause disfigurement. It is associated with excessive sun exposure, particularly repeated sunburn, and is most common in those with fair skin and a genetic predisposition. It almost never metastasizes (spreads to other parts of the body). Again, this has a near 0% fatality rate.

Squamous Cell Carcinoma: Caused by sunburned skin, this type is more dangerous as it can metastasize. However, if caught early, it has a 99% survival rate. One

Caution: Just because these lesions are survivable, it doesn’t mean they are worth ignoring. If you have a growing skin lesion, consult a dermatologist.

Nestlé's History of False Advertising

Nestlé has a notorious history of misleading advertising, starting with the promotion of baby formula over breastfeeding in the 1970s. “The Baby Killer” was published by the British NGO –“War on Want” in 1974. Their tactics, which included offering free formula samples and falsely presenting infant formula as healthier than breast milk, led to serious health consequences in developing countries. They were dissuading mothers from breastfeeding in favor of bottle feeding especially in developing nations

What did Nestle do?

Offered free feeding bottles, samples, and other supplies to mothers in order to encourage purchases.

Won over hospitals and healthcare professionals in order to deliver products directly to new mothers when they are discharged from the hospital.

They even had reps dress up as nurses when giving out free samples, falsely presenting that their product was healthy.

They spent billions promoting their infant formula as the best way to help a baby. It was devastating to poverty-stricken 3rd world countries as mothers would stop breast feeding and then dilute the formula because they could not afford it. Children died.

Nestlé's advertising practices drew widespread criticism, eventually leading to the successful “Boycott Nestlé“, movement in the 1980s. This pressure was successful in changing attitudes and getting WHO (World Health Organization) to return to breast feeding as the best nutritional way to help babies.

What does this have to do with sunscreen? Well, the sunscreen industry uses the exact same playbook.

In 1974, L’Oréal bought a significant stake in Nestlé and applied similar marketing strategies to the sunscreen industry. They created products, scared consumers, and sold them a solution—sunscreen—despite growing evidence that sunscreen usage does not reduce melanoma deaths.

The sunblock market is now a multi-billion-dollar industry, projected to reach $13.5 billion annually by 2028.

A blog by Dr. David J. Elpern, a dermatologist, has noted how the marketing of skin cancer and the dermatology industry itself have shifted:

“Over the past 40 years, I have witnessed these changes in my specialty and am dismayed by the reluctance of my colleagues to address them. This trend began in the early 1980s when the Academy of Dermatology (AAD) assessed its members over 2 million dollars to hire a prominent New York advertising agency to raise the public’s appreciation of our specialty. The mad men recommended “educating” the public to the fact that dermatologists are skin cancer experts, not just pimple poppers; and so the free National Skin Cancer Screening Day was established.

These screenings serve to inflate the public’s health anxiety about skin cancer and led to the performance of vast amounts of expensive low-value procedures for skin cancer and actinic keratosis (AKs). At the same time, pathologists were expanding their definitions of what a melanoma is, leading to “diagnostic drift” that misleadingly increased the incidence of melanoma while the mortality has remained at 1980 levels. Concomitantly, non-melanoma skin cancers are being over-treated by armies of micrographic surgeons who often treat innocuous skin cancers with unnecessarily aggressive, lucrative surgeries.”

Why?

Dermatology is now one of the highest-paying medical specialties, with dermatologists earning an average of $400,000 annually, and specialists such as Mohs surgeons making even more. This has contributed to the over-diagnosis and over-treatment of benign skin conditions.

What About Vitamin D?

Correct levels of Vitamin D are essential for many bodily functions, including cancer prevention, bone health, and immune support. Levels above 40 ng/ml are associated with a reduction in cancers, fractures, and heart attacks.

Note that when serum levels of vitamin D are up above 40 ng/ml that a number of cancers are reduced – some by 80%, fractures are reduced up to 50%, MS and heart attacks are lowered.

At 20ng/ml you can prevent Rickets, but you need to be much higher. Many physicians recommend 7,000 – 10,000 IU per day. Even then it takes a couple of months to get numbers up if you are low on vitamin D.

The recommendation from the Cancer Care book by Paul Marik, MD is that cancer patients go up to around 90ng/ml. He has over 7 pages of information on his #4 top pick (vit D) for cancer patients therapy suggestions. He states that “Vitamin D has anticancer effects both directly via controlling the differentiation, proliferation and apoptosis of neoplastic cells as well as indirectly…”

His recommendation is for 20,000 to 50,000 IU daily for those with low Vitamin D levels.

Even Dr Dale Bredesen in his groundbreaking book – End of Alzheimer’s recommends a vitamin D level of 50-80ng/ml.

Just think – if all US retirement and assisted living homes gave patients vitamin D, and they got it up to good levels, they could reduce bone breaks by up to 50%. How much would that cost? A three-month supply of a 50,000 IU dose is under $20. It could also reduce cancers, along with decreased inflammation and increased immune function.

Taking vitamin D as a supplement is good, but sunlight tanning is even better. Studies show that vitamin D made from sun exposure to the skin lasts at least twice as long in the blood as unnatural vitamin D from dietary supplements. When I am in Florida, it is shirt off and shorts on as I ride bike or walk on the beach for about 1 hour per day. Of course, it takes a bit of incremental tanning to avoid burning. Tanning is not the problem; it is burning that causes issues in the skin and DNA damage.

To say that any UV-light in and of itself will cause skin cancer is like saying that any food will make you obese, and will therefore give you diabetes and cardiac arrest. It is a matter of moderation and then repeated opportunities to get in the sun for a period of 30 minutes to a couple of hours daily. (This also depends on the intensity of the sun and your location on the planet.)

Benefits of Sunlight

According to Embrace the Sun by Drs. Sorenson and Grant, sunlight offers numerous health benefits:

It improves mental health – think SAD or seasonal affective disorder.

It decreases breast cancer

It increases life expectancy

Decreased heart disease is noted

Smokers have the same incident of dying as non-sunbathers.

It reduces other cancers

It strengthens bones

Triggers energy production

Helps with sleep and mood

40 years of sunscreen promotion and use has had no impact on melanoma death rates. Yet the incidence of benign skin cancers has skyrocketed, creating a multi-billion-dollar industry. What do we see today?

More dermatologists are taking off BCC and SCC tags. Most of these will resolve themselves in 1-4 years. (That said, if they continue to grow do go see a dermatologist.) It was a sarcoma (soft tissue) tumor, myxofibrosarcoma (MFS). It started out the size of a pencil eraser on the lower part of her leg. For the most part these types of tumors are not metastatic, and it is simply cut out. Fifty percent have recurrence within 5 years, and it is cut out again. It is uncommon to spread to other parts of the body unless it is left without any sort of intervention.

But still. The word cancer usually is accompanied by both shock and fear. And always a lot of questions.

“Am I going to die?”

“What should I do?”

“Is there a perfect treatment for this?”

Thanks for reading The Uncommon Cures! Are you the cool-headed coach in the fourth quarter, or do you let emotions run wild?

If you're not the cool-headed type, (and there’s no shame in that, it’s just important to be self-aware,) you need a caregiver or a coach who can research and guide you through this. As well-meaning as many physicians are, they often view things through a narrow lens. To be blunt, chemo, radiation, and surgery are their bread and butter, so it’s only logical that those are the first and sometimes only approaches they seem willing to take.

Now, having a cancer diagnosis is nothing to play around with. But I’ve said before in other posts... we have a disease maintenance system, not a health care system. Sadly, I do not think oncology is much different.

Did you know that an oncologist receives a 6% markup on certain chemotherapy drugs? According to Forbes, Oncologists get $600 for every $10,000 monthly chemo treatment they prescribe. Over the course of a year that is over $7,000 in his pocket for just one patient.

Also, many high priced chemo drugs are sold based on their life-extending benefits… but many of those drugs are shown to extend life for only a matter of months. In the meantime, the patient has to suffer the affects of a poison that hopefully kills the cancer before it kills them.

Put in such blunt terms, it makes us question why this is often the first treatment option available rather than the last resort. Unfortunately, many of the doctors are on the take. One study found that 85% of the experts who wrote the most widely-used cancer guidelines had received payments averaging more than $10,000 from pharmaceutical companies.

This article points out yet another issue— physicians caught doing something ethically questionable have been moving from medicine to work for the pharma industry. (Kudos to www.statnews.com for pointing out these issues.)

So is there a community who hasn’t been influenced by big Pharma? And if so, where is their voice? It is out there... but you have to search for it. For the last few years a certain portion of the medical community – those proclaiming that COVID vaccines did not work and that masks do not stop viral infection – has been censored/silenced. These medical experts have been cut out of what should have been front page news.

One such group is Americas Front Line Doctors www.aflds.com. They state that the “Censorship Industrial Complex is made up of four key pillars. These are Censorship, Propaganda, Forced Compliance, and Unpunished Defamation.”

50,000 concerned citizens met in Washington to protest COVID restrictions. But it was never carried on the news… therefore it never happened. The same is true of voices speaking out against the status quo of the medical complex.

So, what is a normal, everyday person to do to get information?

Be a person that is not afraid to research for yourself. Or find a friend who can. Being able to read a research paper is not rocket science, but it does take some time to get accustomed to know what is valuable and what is peripheral.

Learn to dig deeper that page one of a search engine. Oftentimes therapies and clinics that stand to make profit are the first thing pulled up as “information.” Google’s results are not unbiased. Their results have become become influenced by a particular agenda, especially when searching for items that do not fit the mainstream narrative.

Try searching for “Ivermectin for COVID” and you will get a full page of biased studies designed to point you away from that treatment. In contrast, you can go to https://www.aflds.org/medical/ivermectin and find that it does work. My family got our supply from TSC -Tractor Supply Company. Biased news outlets may raise their eyebrows at taking ‘horse de-wormer,’ but for less than $15 we can treat our whole whole family. (Or a 1,200 lb horse 😊.)

Get some information from those who are standing up against the establishment. Frontline doctors is a great place to start place to start. And they don’t stand alone, on their website they point to “a shocking and eye-opening interview with Tucker Carlson, [where] Mike Benz (Foundation for Freedom Online) analyzed the most important issue of our time: censorship.”

Dr. Joe Mercola is another doctor bold enough to speak truth. I would certainly recommend his daily 5-minute articles on a variety of health topics. (www.mercola.com.) He has great credentials. He was also considered one of the top physicians spreading “misinformation” (AKA information that is true, but goes against the government’s narrative) during COVID. To me, his willingness to take a stand against the grand government cover-up is a confirmation that he is worth listening to.

Don’t be afraid to stand up to your physician, especially when they recommend a treatment that doesn’t stack up to your research. In the case of my friend’s sarcoma, there were a number of studies that influenced their decision for treatment. The studies they researched showed that chemo does not work and that radiation was not shown to be definitely positive. Therefore, surgery was the route to take.

In the case of my friend, their oncologist said to do radiation. But after a month of radiation, they cut out the tumor. Now there are issues with the post-surgery skin grafts because of the radiation. Infection has set in, and is causing more problems.

Remember that there are appropriate alternatives. Most alternative or integrative cancer clinics offer a blend of natural and conventional therapies. The large problem for many is that clinics like these are often not covered by insurance.

You can let the medical establishment make all of your decisions. Most of America lives this way... relying on a care provider who is in with an insurance company, who in turn is in with big business, who is then in with big pharma, who is in with the government.

OR

You can do your own research and decide if you agree with the medical establishment, or will find a practitioner that you trust who is open to considering the common-sense facts that lead to uncommon cures.

Blessings,
The Medical Maverick

How to get rid of industrial waste: the ugly truth behind fluoride

Fluoride is a neural toxin. They recommend not only having fluoride in the water supply, but also brushing with it twice per day. But if it is so safe, why that warning label?

It was about 15 years ago that I sat in a lecture on the hazards of fluoride in our society. The speaker was Paul Connett, the founder of the Fluoride Action Network. He was speaking at a local municipality and came over to our alternative medical conference to further educate physicians on the hazards of fluoride.

They were shocking! One particular fact that stuck with me for years was that pregnant mothers who were drinking fluoridated water had children with lower IQ scores, years later. The particularly disturbing aspect to that it is that those in the top 5 points at the top of the IQ scale weren’t nearly as affected as those near the bottom. The children that are handicapped by mental inability and may struggle with independence and integration with society.

The fact is, fluoride is a neural toxin. “Over 30 studies have associated elevated fluoride exposure with neurological impairment in children, which may, in part, result from fluoride’s effect on the thyroid gland. Considering the serious nature of these effects, and the lack of benefit from pre-eruptive ingestion of fluoride, basic precautionary principles strongly counsel against exposing infants to any fluoride.” According to the Fluoride Action Network there are:

Over 300 animal studies showing that prolonged exposure to varying levels of fluoride can damage the brain.

78 human studies linking fluoride exposures with reduced intelligence.

Over 60 animal studies reporting that mice or rats ingesting fluoride have an impaired capacity to learn and/or remember.

12 studies (7 human, 5 animal) linking fluoride with neurobehavioral deficits (impaired visual-spatial organization).

3 human studies linking fluoride exposure with impaired fetal brain development.

11 Mother-Offspring studies linking certain levels of fluoride in the urine of pregnant women to reduced IQ in their offspring.

There is a WHO chart showing that non-fluoridated countries have less tooth decay than fluoridated countries. Places like Belgium, Italy, Sweden, and Japan do not allow fluoride in their water supplies.

So with all these risks, and little demonstrated benefit, why is fluoride being pushed so aggressively? That question actually leads us to another, even more interesting question: Where did we get tons of fluoride to add to our water supplies throughout the nation?

Another shocking truth: the fluoride that is put into our drinking water is considered a hazardous waste product from phosphate fertilizer production. The fertilizer industry and Alcoa aluminum produced tons of this hazardous waste. While they were determining what could be done with it, there was conjecture that putting it in water would benefit children’s teeth.

Vast amounts of fluoride were manufacturing byproducts. Workers and downwind citizens were becoming sick. Animals were damaged by increased amounts of fluoride in the air and water. So what was the response of the Atomic Energy Commission?

If you guessed that they covered it up, you’d be right. (You can learn more about it from this video.) It is as disgusting as the COVID coverups of the last few years.

Big business, the CDC, and other interested parties can silence any argument that is raised against them. Dissenting voices are called “misinformation” spreaders. During COVID, their accounts were shut down and they were called “conspiracy theorists”. They are silenced through sham medical studies, de-platforming, de-monetizing. In some cases, they might get fired or even jailed for sharing their opinions.

Those who raised the alarm on fluoride through the years were canceled. But if you want to find out more actual facts about fluoride, I highly encourage you to order the book The Case against Fluoride: How Hazardous Waste Ended Up in Our Drinking Water and the Bad Science and Powerful Politics That Keep It There by Dr. Paul Connett, Dr. James Beck, and Dr. H. Spedding Micklem.

We are gambling with the health of our children, yet the sheep go along with their doctor or dentist who have never looked into evidence against the agenda they’re pushing. The Fluoride Alert website is well worth the hour of pursual.

The people who said that smoking was healthy and lead in gasoline was not a problem and the COVID shots were effective and safe are the same ones who are saying the fluoride in water and tooth products are safe.

In 1945 Grand Rapids, Michigan was the first to add fluoride to water as a way to prevent tooth decay which now, 70 years later it is still a controversial subject. Now over 70 % of all US municipal water systems add fluoride to your water.

Why should we end the use of fluoride as a consumable?

Fluoridation is an outdated form of mass medication. It is not a drug nor nutrient, it is toxic

It is unnecessary and ineffective. Most European nations have rejected the practice.

It is not safe. There are linked problems with the brain issues, dental problems, endocrine system and bone issues, kidney inefficiency and even cancer links.

What can you do to protect your family?

Drink purified water. You can buy it or get a reverse osmosis filter unit. My personal choice is the Aqua tru. It is a bit of a hassle but you get used to it. Another filtration unit is the Berkey.

Buy non-fluoride toothpaste. Excessive fluoride can cause dental fluorosis. According to recent studies 70% of average 12-15 yr olds have this dental condition.

Do your own research. One effective method I’ve found to absorb and retain information that I read is to read a book thoroughly and then outline its contents for future reference.

If I could make you do that with any book, it may be this one. "Cancer Care – The Role of Repurposed Drugs and Metabolic Interventions in Treating Cancer" by Dr. Paul Marik, demands a serious look.

Thanks for reading The Uncommon Cures! I have attended over 80 lectures on the subject of cancer, along with having had many discussions with alternative medical personnel who work with oncology. I would trade them all for this one book. This is not a statement I make lightly.

For years I have been studying the “answers to cancer” from the perspective of alternative medicine. That journey has taken me to scores of conferences. I’ve listened to a like number of authors, practitioners and presenters who all have a “solution.” It pushed me to go to Mexico and visit a number of alternative cancer clinics there.

I even took my eldest son, who had a brain tumor, to a specialist in Puerta Vallarta who did dendritic therapy and stem cell therapy. After spending tens of thousands of dollars, it did not prove to be effective.

So when I say I have experience with cancer research both professionally and personally, I want you to understand what I mean.

This latest book is a "must-read" for anyone interested in cancer therapy. It is comprehensive, accessible, and invaluable for both physicians and consumers.

Key Insights and Revelations

Dr. Marik's book reveals crucial insights into cancer prevention and treatment:

Preventability: Did you know that 60-80% of cancers are preventable?

Simple Interventions: Three easy interventions you can do at home can reduce cancer risk by 60%.

Diet Matters: Your diet plays a significant role in cancer prevention and management.

Traditional Options: The book outlines seven traditional cancer treatment options.

Priority Actions: Three basic actions are top priorities in stopping cancer.

Chemotherapy: The book explains that chemotherapy can activate cancer activity and how to determine if it will be beneficial for your specific case.

Dr Marik has notoriety as the physician who has an effective, available therapy for sepsis. The “powers that be” did a controversial and biased study aimed at discrediting him.

But the facts remain: he reduced sepsis deaths in his U of Virginia hospital from 50% to 2% over a two-year period.

For that he got fired.

Here are his comments in the introduction: “Target Audience: This information should be of particular interest to patients with cancer, to help guide them through the complicated issue of using repurposed drugs and lifestyle changes for cancer treatment…..”

I can attest that this book is a treasure trove of combined knowledge of cancer practitioners. The book is easy to read and understand. I think his crowning achievement is boiling down important things to do to help manage health during cancer into a simple list... one that should be helpful to both physician and patient.

Items 1-3 are things for the patient:

Glucose Management and Diet: Controlling blood sugar and maintaining a healthy diet are essential.

Exercise: Regular physical activity is crucial for overall health.

Stress Reduction and Sleep: Managing stress and getting adequate sleep are vital.

He explains how each of these are critical for good health. It is amazing to me that America has now over 60% of adults and 30% listed as overweight, and over 35% of these adults as obese. That said, it’s very easy to say “exercise and eat right,” but it’s hard to do.

Perhaps it is the severity of a disease or disorder that causes one to finally look at lifestyle and make a change. Recently a relative who has smoked for decades finally was diagnosed with cancer. After that diagnosis, she quit smoking. Is that what it takes to take those risks seriously?

The remainder of Dr. Marik’s list is geared toward physicians and practitioners who are helping to put together a treatment plan.

Vitamin D (Sunshine): Ensuring sufficient vitamin D intake.

Melatonin: The importance of this hormone in cancer therapy.

Green Tea: Its benefits in cancer prevention and treatment.

Metformin: A repurposed drug with potential cancer-fighting properties.

Curcumin: The active component in turmeric, known for its anti-cancer effects.

Mebendazole: An anti-parasitic drug repurposed for cancer treatment.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Essential for reducing inflammation and supporting overall health.

This book allows us, as consumers, to see what we could do to stop our cancers. He even did a YouTube video that explains and outlines some of the book.

He also lists treatments that

are weakly recommended, (i.e. low dose naltrexone)

are likely neutral, (i.e. resveratrol)

are not recommended (i.e shark cartilage.)

His list covers over 30 repurposed items for cancer treatments. This book is a wildly valuable resource.

But sadly, this resource isn’t easy to find if you need it. If you don’t Google the exact title, or the precise author name, you won’t find it at the top of a search results page. Grocery runs weren’t a daily occurrence. Most folks were busy with gardens, canning, and feeding the family. Browsing leisurely through store aisles? Who had time for that?

The solution was a month’s supply of basic food stashed in a small, dark, and hopefully cool room. Don’t forget the root cellar—a farm home's best friend for preserving veggies and fruits long after the winter winds howled, and the harvest was a memory.

I know, some of you think I’m going down memory lane and romanticizing a past that is very different from the way we live our lives today. “But come on, this is 2024! Food shortages in America will not occur.”

That’s one perspective, I suppose. To me it seems an awful lot like you’re betting on that particular outcome. I’m not much of a betting man. I prefer to have insurance. Why do you have car insurance, home insurance, life insurance? You hope to never need them, but it’s a huge peace-of-mind to know they are there.

Here some other words we hope to never say in real life: pandemic, riots, supply chain problems, hoarding, government interference, power grid attack, water system attack, internet infrastructure attacks, terrorism, war.

How many of those have you experienced in your lifetime? And while you may have gotten lucky so far, the fact of the matter is that any one of those things could trigger a food shortage.

My wife is more into “doomsday prepping” than I am. (Her protective instincts may run differently than mine!) She might suggest we head to Montana and live in the mountains. Should we buy a shack in the Florida swamps?

My perspective is that bugging out to the middle of nowhere is probably not the best place to start. Instead, start at home and consider your immediate needs.

If you’re still reading, I know you’re interested in building yourself some insurance, and maybe need a little nudge. Here are some steps you may want to consider to take care of your health and wellness in the future:

Get Out of Credit Card Debt: Build up a 6-month savings cushion. Some say it's wise to keep some cash at home. (Or gold and silver, but that’s a topic for another day.)

Get Into Good Health: Exercise, eat right, and minimize medications. A continuous glucose monitor is a valuable tool, along with tracking what you eat, especially if you’re overweight or have glucose issues.

Overstock Necessary Meds: We have a son with Down syndrome who needs anti-seizure meds. We max out his prescriptions and stash the extras. We also keep plenty of ivermectin (yes, the “horse de-wormer” is cheap and available), plus a couple of courses of antibiotics.

Fight Disease Naturally: We have a nebulizer to help treat respiratory infections, using hydrogen peroxide and water. We also use silver, red light therapy, and ozone. These are all treatments designed to boost the body’s natural healing abilities.

Plan for Power Outages: Think about what food you’re stocking up on. If you have a freezer full of meat, you need a backup power plan. Even if you don’t, having a way to generate electricity is smart. We have a power pack that runs on solar. In our last house I had a gas-powered generator and a way to hook up our essentials.

Now, let’s talk groceries and supplies. During COVID, when supply chains went haywire, we saw empty shelves in Florida—especially for paper products. “Toilet paper will be in tomorrow,” they said. So, there we were at 7 AM, standing in line for our single pack of TP. Collectively, we went mad hoarding toilet paper, because we recognized that relying on that supply chain wasn’t wise.

So ask yourself: Do you want to store food (and paper products) for a week? A month? Decide how much you need, then start doubling up on the food you regularly use. Have a well-stocked pantry, and consider what you REALLY need in an emergency. There are a ton of places to get ready-made kits too… even Costco sells emergency food packs.

Having a decent pantry can save you a lot of time. If fast food and eating out are your go-to practices, imagine a world where that’s not an option. Being a good cook can make a huge difference for your family. It’s usually more nutritious, rewarding, and creates something invaluable—family mealtime.

Check out “prepping” websites for guidance on your decision-making, and consider how a healthy lifestyle (even in dire circumstances) can help you stay well in the future.

Blessings,
The Medical Maverick

A Defense of Urgent Care: Why you shouldn't feed the ER hospital beast.

Immediate medical needs might not require an ER visit.

The Medical Maverick

I was having a lovely day. Then I got the call. My 16-year-old daughter had decided to practice her fainting skills at school. And apparently she was excellent at it.

When I got there, she was holding her head like she’d been hit with a sledgehammer, thanks to a migraine that had caused her to pass out. She was still woozy even after regaining consciousness. So naturally I thought, "Let's go on a little adventure to the emergency room."

The drive to the hospital should have been a quick 15 minutes. Easy, right? Wrong. Halfway there, she moans, loud, and completely passes out again. Which of course means I transform from mild-mannered Dad into a getaway driver from a bad action movie, frantically trying to get to that ER. I had no idea what was happening—maybe she was being melodramatic, or maybe she was dying. Who knew?

We ran into the emergency room doors, expecting a scene straight out of a medical drama. But instead of bustling nurses and dramatic music, I was met with… nothing. No one was there. A kind soul passing by found us a wheelchair and I started our quest through the ER labyrinth.

First stop: a deputy with a metal detector. Because who doesn't need a security check when they're unconscious, right?

Next, we plunged into a sea of people in the waiting room. I was ready to scream, “This is an emergency!” but it seemed everyone else was in the same boat we were. I flagged down somebody in scrubs and blurted out that my daughter was unconscious. After a few agonizing minutes that may as well had been an eternity, more medical personnel arrived. One of them lifted my daughter’s head, let it flop back down with a clank on the metal bar behind her and said, with the enthusiasm of a DMV employee, “Yup – she’s out.”

She was unconscious for over 1 hour.

She turned out to be fine. Her vitals were normal, they did an MRI on her head, and all was well. Perhaps the migraines caused it. Once she actually got a room and started receiving care, I appreciated the staff and their expertise. But getting there was like navigating a bizarre obstacle course. I now know that ambulances go to another ER room entrance.

This whole escapade highlighted a major problem: emergency room overcrowding. Here are a few reasons why:

There are a lot of people with non-serious issues, the kind that don’t require sirens and flashing lights.

Many treat the ER like their primary care doctor because it’s cheap and/or free to them.

Once you're in, you might as well bring a picnic. You could be waiting for hours or even days while they "run more tests."

Enter Urgent Care, the unsung hero of minor medical mishaps. It’s faster and (usually) won’t make your wallet cry. And they can help guide you on whether the hospital is necessary or if the issue might be resolved without the ER visit.

Case in point: My son with Down syndrome once swallowed something that made him wheeze like an old accordion. A quick trip to urgent care, and an X-ray revealed a dime in his throat. Their advice was clear: “Go to the hospital.” Good advice, since a dime in the lungs spells trouble, but one on a digestive joyride is usually okay. We took him to the hospital, where was triaged appropriately since he already had the diagnosis. They performed the delicate dime removal and we were sent on our way.

So, next time you’re considering whether you need emergency care, remember that you have options! Urgent Care can save you time, money, and oftentimes sanity. Emergency rooms should be kept for actual emergencies.

So stay informed, make smart choices, and keep those ER drama scenes where they belong—on TV.

Blessings.

From Crisis to Control: The Truth Behind COVID-19 (Pt. 3)

How to defend your Liberty and make educated health choices

The Medical Maverick

COVID-19 was nearly 5 years ago, but we are still dealing with the fallout, which is why it’s important not to forget what happened. That makes it the most lethal vaccine injection of all time.

Even VAERS, the CDC-run Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, shows this to be true. Your average vaccine roll-outs stop at 50 to 100 deaths. But not COVID. Those vaccines now have over 30,000 reported deaths. Even the government admits that this is, likely, just a small fraction of total numbers. I’d say you can safely multiply it by at least 10.

Vaccines caused death, but went unreported by Main-stream News, Pharma and the Government. It was only AFTER the vaccines were introduced that All-Cause Mortality rates jumped from 63,000 to 84,000 per week. The CEO of the OneAmerica insurance company recently disclosed that mortality in the 18-64 age group was 40 percent higher during the 3rd and 4th quarters of 2021 than during pre-pandemic levels. For reference, he indicated that a 10 percent increase would have been a 1-in-200-year event. Furthermore, most of the deaths were not attributed to COVID.

Pfizer hid the evidence of vaccine problems and wanted the records sealed for 75 years. In summary, the vaccinated had a risk increase of serious adverse events of special interest of 12.5 per 10,000 vaccinated. Meanwhile, the risk reduction for hospitalization was only 2.3 per 10,000 for the COVID-19 infected patients who participated in Pfizer’s own drug trials. Mounting evidence now indicate the vaccine injections will result in depopulation through both premature death and adverse effects on fertility in women and men alike. Pfizer reported 1,500 types of adverse reactions, yet 1,223 deaths and 158,000 adverse events were disclosed within 90 days of the Emergency Use Authorization release. Pfizer, however, wanted that information sealed.

Emergency Use Authorization for Vaccines couldn’t be justified if there were a viable, safe treatment for COVID-19 available. Therefore, Ivermectin, Hydroxychloroquine, and other early treatments used in physician offices and homes were effectively banned. Without the EUA, there would have been no lockdown, no PCR test, no vaccine mandates, no pandemic, no flow of billions of dollars. Follow the money. Not only did Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J make billions, the hospitals were part of the game.

Take a look at the money making opportunities for COVID-19:

PCR Test - $186

Added bonus payment for each positive COVID-19 diagnosis.

Another bonus for a COVID-19 admission to the hospital.

A 20 percent “boost” bonus payment from Medicare on the entire hospital bill for use of remdesivir instead of medicines such as Ivermectin.

Another and larger bonus payment to the hospital if a COVID-19 patient is mechanically ventilated. $ 39,000

More money if cause of death is listed as COVID-19, even if patient did not die directly of COVID-19. $ 3,000

A COVID-19 diagnosis also provides extra payments to coroners.

“Attorney Thomas Renz and CMS whistleblowers have calculated a total payment of at least $100,000 per patient.”

The government is gaining power from the COVID-19 Industrial Complex. The Pharma companies, the hospitals, and the lobbyists are gaining money, even today, from the mishandling of the pandemic. But to others, it presented the opportunity of a lifetime. This may sound pretty callous... why would I ever say such a thing?

Well, because it is true.

What other opportunity has there been that would unite world leaders in their quest for power?

When has there been such a scare that would make the populous of many countries bow down in fear and do what they are told by an unelected few?

When has there been such a fast and powerful influx of income to a privileged few while they could actually shut down their competitors?

Never before have “Emergency Powers” have such effects as lock-downs, masks, isolation and experimental vaccines unleashed on the world without proper testing.

This lead not just to a global tragedy, but to untold smaller tragedies as well. A sick elderly parent could not even have a loved one with them as they slowly died in the hospital. Millions were isolated in their rooms in nursing homes. Young children, the most healthy in the society, were told to get an experimental gene therapy. Thousands not only suffered horribly, many died.

Why?

I am a student scripture and history, and I have my own thoughts about this horrific takeover. These ideas were not devised in a vacuum, but developed over time researching some of our country’s most courageous medical voices. I’ve distilled these thoughts into a short series of 3 posts. My purpose is to capsulize what I have learned and communicate what you may, (or may not,) want to know about COVID-19 beyond the coverage of the main stream news.

I won’t dance around it, there are some harsh conclusions to be drawn from this data. One of which is that the American Physician community, by and large, acted sheeplike about COVID. Threatened with losing their livelihoods and with censorship, they ditched the Hippocratic oath. Never before have physicians been ordered to avoid off-label, effective drugs. But because of Covid they could lose their license if they used them.

Another harsh conclusion to draw is about us. We, the people, were sheeplike about lockdowns. We followed every directive, our churches and small business bowed down, officials and schools forced mandates. This unbelievable power grab has caused most to acquiesce to their wishes.

In this post, I’m going to point out 8 things to consider about COVID. 8 points to challenge the current narrative and slowly draw back the curtain on who could gain from this horrible conspiracy. My hope is that you would consider each of them before drawing your own conclusions about the true state of affairs.

Consider this: We never had a “pandemic,” just a bad cold/flu virus. COVID deaths were never accurately reported. Car accidents, heart attack and even some murders were listed as COVID deaths. If you want to look at actual numbers, All-Cause Mortality is a much better indicator. By the end of 2020 – the peak pandemic year, those numbers were similar to peaks in the last two decades. And the fact is that 99.85% of infected individuals do recover from getting COVID.

Consider this: Most of the world would be better off if infected with COVID than the regular flu. According to Stanford’s top statistician, MD and epidemiologist Dr John Ioannadis, 40-70% of the global population would do better if infected with SARS-CoV-2 than with the regular flu.

Consider this: There was prior research that masks do not stop viral infections and that Lockdowns and distancing by more than 6 feet did not work. The government promoted it anyway. They allowed for no debate. Over 10,000 physicians protested and signed the Great Barrington Declaration to no avail. As time went on some states, like Florida, stopped the non-sense but other states – Michigan, New York and California continued those practices for months and years. Sweden never locked down, nor mandated vaccines, and yet somehow had less COVID related problems. They were condemned and belittled by the world community. Compare Sweden vs Israel for some fascinating insights.

A sidenote: I am not against masks in general. Masks are a great way to stop bacteria, and there’s a reason surgeons wear them. Even though they were (and are not) accurate for proving COVID infection. False positives were guaranteed. Additional “cases” created fear... and the desired response.

Consider this: Fauci and the CDC did not have the public’s best interest at heart.

The CDC and Fauci Suppressed known Covid Early Treatments from Day One. Early COVID physicians’ office and home treatments are effective, and would have prevented most deaths in the hospital. Physicians who used these proven, safe off-label drugs saw a 99% recovery rate. However, those physicians were threatened to lose their license if they treated patients prior to hospitalization.

Fauci has failed to do his job for the last 40 years, which has been to stop autoimmune and disease disorders. When he started 6% of the American population had a chronic disorder. It now rests at over 54%. Science is manipulated for the profit of big Pharma. (This presentation about the connection of Pharma to the CDC and Fauci by Robert F Kennedy Jr. is worth watching.) Fauci has turned the FDA and CDC into Pharma’s incubator.

Remember Remdesivir? It was a failed EBOLA drug. You can read more in this article about the remdesivir scam. It was the recommended treatment in American hospitals for COVID. Fauci is a part of the patent, and fast tracked its approval. He said there were two successful studies...He lied. And he did it for power and profit.

Consider this: There is a Global Plan to Reset how government and elites control society. COVID fearmongering was a part of a plan to make certain businesses prosper, and to shut down small businesses. A Governmental power-grab was allowed by citizens, schools, churches, and leaders who would not go against the status-quo. And this is STILL relevant even today, because politicians and powerful people do not easily give back the power they have allocated. (For more details I recommend the documentary The Plandemic, the book COVID-19 and the Global Predators: We are the Prey by Dr Peter Breggin MD, and a lecture at Hillsdale College: What is the Great Reset – And how it will affect America.)

Consider this: The COVID narrative is tightly controlled by interested parties. These parties are falsely promoted as the Trusted News Initiative– “to protect audiences and users from disinformation.” The partners are BBC, Facebook, Google/Youtube, Twitter, Microsoft, Reuters, Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, The Hindu, and CBC-Canada. They have been systematically silencing voices in order to “rapidly identify and stop the spread of harmful Coronavirus disinformation.” This effectively cancelled all physicians and others from scientific discussion. It was truly a totalitarian move. (I recommend watching the video Puppet Masters for an excellent overview of this.)

Consider this: Liberty is being lost. Dr. Joseph Boot has eloquently stated that we “are to have answers to a radically secularized and statist culture (which is) now flirting with totalitarian notions and utopian ambitions.”

When you consider the opportunity of authoritarians to use the pandemic as a tool to exert control over the populace, you can understand the depths to which the trust of the people has been betrayed. And that brings us to the primary tool of that control… the vaccines. We’ll talk about those in Part 2 of this series.

Blessings,
The Medical Maverick

More addictive than cocaine?

Sugar addiction can sabotage your wellbeing, and limit your body's natural ability to heal.

The Medical Maverick

Over the years of dealing with alternative medicine, I have come to appreciate that there is good food and bad food.

A little story: it was hot and I had been working hard all day. Driving my old pick up into the gas station, I thought I would “treat” myself to a 40 oz coke. I almost never buy soda, but with the heat and sweat, it just sounded good.

MISTAKE.

There are about 10 teaspoons of sugar in one 12 oz can of coke. In 40 oz, there’s over 32 teaspoons of sugar, all in the form of high fructose corn syrup. I was happily driving home and downing the liquid sugar until things went awry in my body. My head felt funny, and my body was in sugar shock. (That’s not a medical term, if you were wondering.) I was able to get home, but was sick on the couch for two hours as my body tried to rid itself of the excess sugar.

The takeaways?

I was not used to that much sugar.

My body was signaling that I had overloaded the system.

Coke, and every other sugared drink, was happy that I was spending my money on the bubbly liquid sugar.

The gas station obviously did not care about my well-being and would sell me just about anything to make a profit.

Health-wise, a gas station is about the worst place to get food. Some of us remember when gas stations just served gas and oil. The cheery attendant would come out and say “fill-er-up? They would wash the windshield and check the oil too. You never had to get out of your car. Now, if you do get out of your car, you can load up on cigarettes and diabetes.

You’ve probably heard that sugar is not good for your health. You likely know that it adds no nutrients, only empty calories. It’s been common knowledge for a while now.

In fact, back (many years ago) when I was in college, I had two roommates. None of us were cooks, and breakfast was usually a cereal. I remember one of the guys adding the white powder to his cereal and the other roommate whispering almost demonically “White Death… white death.”

We knew it then. And we really know it now.

So how exactly is sugar bad for us?

It feeds cancer

Excess weight gain

Headaches

Hormone imbalance

Insulin resistance

Diabetes and imbalances

Changes in brain chemistry

Cravings

Heart issues

Nonalcohol fatty liver disease

Dementia/ Alzheimer’s

Now, in moderation sugar is OK. (In this context, think 6-9 teaspoons per day.) That is about the max that the body can safely handle.

Now, you may not drink soda. Or ladle spoons of sugar into your food and drink. But what about the sneaky ways sugar infiltrates our diet?

What about “healthy” snacks like fruit gummies?

“Per the company website, Welch's Mixed Fruit Snacks contain juices from concentrate, including grape, pear, peach and pineapple. They also contain corn syrup, sugar, modified corn starch, gelatin, citric acid, lactic acid, natural and artificial flavors, ascorbic acid, sodium citrate, coconut oil, carnauba wax and several food dyes.”

Those particular fruit snacks are highly processed, have almost 6 grams of sugar per serving, and earned a D+ from www.fooducate.com. Sounds healthy to me!

Sugar is also habit-forming. According to some studies, sugar is more addictive than cocaine. “Sugar activates the opiate receptors” which activates our reward center. This can lead to compulsive behavior.

This is particularly worrisome when you consider how it affects kids. Convenience and amplified taste-titillating ingredients induce kids to call for more. Moms are often pulling sugar-laden “junk” off the store shelf to satisfy those cravings. It begs the question... is an overweight child a form of abuse?

Personally speaking, having a child with Down’s syndrome has caused us to look extra hard at his eating habits. In our experience, he will eat anything that is put in front of him. When we were absent one morning, the older kids decided to see if he would stop on his own when eating syrup-soaked pancakes. He ate and ate and ate. Yes, he loves sugar. Who doesn’t? But he, like many children, doesn’t have the capacity to limit himself. So we ensure he does not get it very often. His metabolic rate may be slower due to his condition, but we restrict his caloric intake to make sure he stays totally fit.

To me, it is sad to see families damage their children by allowing them to eat to obesity. Sugar and sugar drinks are one of the main culprits behind this.

Did you know that the soda industry paid the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) millions of dollars to ensure that sugary drinks are supplied with school lunches? Imagine if the school removed sugared drinks. Poorer kids could not get their sugar fix, and that would be racist.

Go on a Sugar Detox

Now, I am not sugar addicted. My wife makes few sweets, and dessert is a very special occasion. There is little processed food in our pantry, and meals are home-cooked 90% of the time. It is a decision that we choose to make. But many aren’t so lucky, and have fallen victim to a predatory food industry.

Are you sugar-addicted and want to move toward better health? It’s never too late to start making positive changes in your healthy habits. Here are suggestions from good houskeeping:

Frontload your meals with protein and fiber.

Ensure you are eating micronutrients.

Stay hydrated.

Also, keep an eye on the added sugars in alcohol, coffee additives, dressings and sauces, and fruits. Do you drink a glass of OJ in the morning? When it comes to sugar content, it is no different than drinking a can of soda.

Before you resort to drugs that paralyze your digestive system like Ozempic, make sure you’re ridding yourself of any sugar addiction you might have! There are lots of articles and videos and even books on ways to change.

Remember, your health is up to you.

Blessings,
The Medical Maverick

Forget the Kitchen Sink: Why It’s Essential to Prioritize Core Treatments

The Medical System may focus on minor treatments. Between that, and my shelves, I have 20 years of research on this topic.

What took me on this journey?

It all started around 1990. My oldest son, at 16, went into a grand mal seizure out of the blue. I was away on business, and my capable wife called an ambulance. After a few minutes, the seizure subsides, and he is whisked off to the hospital.

They quiz him about drug use (none, of course) and send him home. An MRI finds nothing. However, a few months later, another seizure hits. He is put on anti-seizure meds, but the doctors are stumped. "We have no idea what's causing it," they say, shrugging their white-coated shoulders. The word they used was “idiopathic,” which is a fancy medical way of saying that they didn’t have a clue.

When my son turned 20, improved MRI imaging finally spotted the culprit—a ping-pong ball-sized brain tumor. It was resected a month after his first child was born. At the time, it was deemed benign. Fast forward 22 years, and multiple “benign” resections later, the doctors decide it's not so benign after all.

That’s when my deep dive into the world of cancer research really kicked off. I explored everything from coffee enemas to apricot pits, alkaline water to juicing. You name it, I’ve researched it. I even have a hefty book that tries to catalog every alternative cancer “cure” out there.

But here’s the thing: just because there are a lot of treatments for cancer, both traditional and “alternative,” it doesn’t mean you can just do everything at the same time. There are treatments that may help in a minor way, some that could make a major difference… and not all of them work well simultaneously. Mixing your pantry contents into the kitchen sink does not make for a delicious meal. Sorting out what is best as a cancer treatment is tough work. Luckily, there are tools available now that make things easier.

(For the record, in my estimation the best book for both consumers and physicians just hit the shelves—Cancer Care: The Role of Repurposed Drugs and Metabolic Intervention in Treating Cancer by Paul Marik. It’s a goldmine of well-researched information, picking up where traditional cancer therapies leave off. I have written a short review on another blog post.)

It brings to mind another example of the “kitchen sink” approach to medicine. Recently, a 69-year-old acquaintance asked me about non-alcoholic fatty liver. Being the research enthusiast I am, I quickly pulled up my favorite author’s blogs, podcasts, and suggestions. After years of sifting through the internet, I’ve become pretty good at separating the wheat from the chaff. As my friend described their regimen—curcumin, spices in chicken soup, liver supplements, maybe even a liver cleanse—I almost laughed. While there’s nothing wrong with those types of home remedies, they aren’t the most effective overall treatments. They are the peripheral changes that can help support true core treatments.

What might those be?

Studies show that 150-180 minutes of exercise per week can significantly reduce fatty liver.

Eliminating fructose

Cut sugar drinks and alcohol

Eliminate vegetable oils and linoleic acid. (By the way, those oils are NOT made from vegetables, no matter how many pictures of carrots and string beans are on the label.)

The study showed positive results in three months. Let’s do the math: Supplements might help 5%, but exercise and dietary changes promise 75% of the results. Which would you prioritize?

When there’s a problem, most people run to the physician, who in turn hands them over to a specialist. After a battery of tests, those specialists often prescribe a drug or surgery that is in their best interests to prescribe. Good physicians who want to help you with the root cause of your issues do exist, but many follow a set protocol that might not be designed to serve you. Remember, when all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

Back to my son. He was a stellar kid who loved God. His library, which I still have, is a treasure trove of works on theology and practical living. He left behind six children and a lot of friends and family. Reflecting on the well-meaning physicians, conference talks, and books that guided me, I realize how important good input is when dealing with serious illness.

I once took my son to a famous clinic to coordinate his many surgeries and medications. (He had six resections in total.) I presented a study from a German physician with success in treating brain tumors to his oncologist. She dismissed it out-of-hand, saying if it were legitimate “she would’ve heard about it”. Then she outlined a drug combo for him, which I had already researched.

“This drug combo may extend life, but half the participants couldn’t finish due to its toxicity,” I said.

“That’s right,” she responded.

“Why would we want him to do that?” I asked.

“Well, it may extend his life,” she replied.

Seriously? May extend life at the cost of quality?

We didn’t go for that concoction. (Interestingly, a Canadian study found that 80% of cancer researchers wouldn’t put their relatives in experimental trials.)

So take this as a word of caution: The medical system has protocols that might not be in your best interest. They may put you through a grueling ‘minor’ treatment that can have a major impact on your overall health and wellness.

COVID and its associated vaccines have proven one thing to us: many doctors will follow the system, regardless of the evidence, to keep the money flowing— no matter their personal misgivings.

My advice: don’t take anyone’s advice on a minor “cure” when a major one may be available. Stick to the major treatments first and then consider the minor ones. Think back to the previous example: if exercise and diet changes can improve your fatty liver, make them your priority. People may dislike exercise, but if they knew its value and the consequences of inactivity, they’d change their lifestyle. After all, why wait until you have diabetes, high blood pressure, or cardiac challenges to get serious?

You are the one most interested in your health. You need people around who will advocate for you. So keep the majors and the minors in mind when choosing your personal physician!

Blessings, the Medical Maverick

Be Your Own Doctor

How to challenge your beliefs about healthcare and think for yourself.

The Medical Maverick

When I was in college, in the early 70’s, everyone told me I was unique.

I could be anything I wanted. My thoughts dictated the direction of my life. Yet when I arrived on campus I found myself with hundreds of other "unique" individuals, all wearing identical bell-bottom jeans and T-shirts.

So much for nonconformity. But it left me wondering about my supposed ‘unique’ perspective, and those of my fellows. Where exactly did we get our unique thoughts?

Fast forward a few decades to my late 50s. I took a class about worldview – or, for those of us who like to sound fancy, ‘Weltanschauung.’ (That’s German for “worldview,” believe it or not.) A worldview is a cohesive picture of the world and how it works, sort of a philosophy of life. I like to call it a “well-view” – because it's quite the eye-opener when you learn how you experience the world. And during that class, I discovered that there are three main things that shape our worldview, and therefore direct our lives:

Education… what we’re told and taught.

Experience… what we have personally lived through

Intuition… the “wild card” category of instinct and gut feelings. (There’s also some synthesis and creativity thrown in, for good measure.)

Learning that there were commonalities to how we all experience the world and develop our beliefs was like finding out that I wasn’t the original thinker I thought I was. Since then I’ve come to terms with not being “original.” But it does raise the question… where do you get your ideas?

If it’s something other than the big three, you’re either a genius or living in a parallel universe. For us mere mortals, our parents, culture, and teachers mold us like Play-Doh in a preschool. Nowadays, you may hear people say, “Look inside yourselves, and you will find the answer.” How about, “Look inside yourself, and you’ll probably find a lot of confusion.”

What does worldview have to do with today’s medical world? First off, let’s have a peek at the state of things:

Q. Who supposedly have all the answers?
A. The guys in the white coats.

Q. Who’s doing all this “cutting-edge” research to cure cancer?
A. The guys in the white coats.

Q. Who keeps saying, “Send money for research”?
A. The guys in the white coats.

Q. And who sends the guys in white coats our money, with about as much accountability as a teenager with a credit card?
A. The folks in fine suits from Washington, D.C.

Think I’m being too cynical? Buckle up.

Richard Harris, a long-time science reporter for National Public Radio, published a book in 2017 entitled Rigor Mortis: How Sloppy Science Creates Worthless Cures, Crushes Hope, and Wastes Billions. (If that doesn’t raise your blood pressure, I don’t know what will.)

According to Harris, out of 53 groundbreaking drug studies at AMGEN, only 11% could be replicated. That's like betting your life savings on a horse race and finding out the horses are all imaginary. Harris estimates that half of the U.S. government’s $30 billion annual investment in biomedical research results in seriously flawed outcomes.

What does that mean for us? Well, when you hear, “A new medical study says…” just remember, it might be as reliable as a politician’s promise. At a recent medical conference, one renowned speaker said that over 50% of today's medical studies would be overturned or shown “false” within five years. In my opinion, that’s the optimistic view.

Are these the opinions that are shaping your worldview on medicine?

Obviously, common sense dictates that we would want a worldview with a better accuracy rate than 50%. So, what’s a layman or patient to do?

I’ve laid out a few things to consider when approaching today’s medical status-quo. Before you establish your wellness worldview, keep these things in mind!

Think for yourself. Don’t just go with the crowd. It’s your life, your experiences, and your own research that may lead to better health. If you can’t do the research yourself due to lack of skill or emotional distress, find a friend with those skills who can.

Realize that most prescription drugs and medical procedures are a big business. They are designed to manage symptoms, not necessarily to make you healthier overall. In a sense, we don’t have a health care system; we have a disease maintenance system. It’s like hiring an exterminator who keeps the pests just comfortable enough so they never leave, ensuring you’ll need his services forever.

Find an “alternative” physician. They may use terms to describe themselves like integrative, functional, or regenerative practitioners. Here’s a good test: do they take out-of-pocket pay, rather than insurance? The doctors who do have decided to break away from the herd. They are more likely to want to find the root causes of your problems.
